After spending some time playing asYasukeinAssassin’s Creed Shadows,players will realize fairly quickly that he is one of the most powerful characters in the franchise’s storied history. While his sheer size and strength explain much of his combat prowess, his ability with the katana is at least partially the result of Yasuke’s instructor, Nobutsuna. During flashbacks, we see Yasuke’s progress from complete amateur to formidable swordsman. However, in the present day ofAC Shadows’timeline, Nobutsuna tasks Yasuke with locating all of his former students, in order to learn his final lesson. Here, we’ll show youwhere you can find all six of Nobutsuna’s Students in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Marume Nagayoshi
Long Katana
There are two steps to locatingMarume Nagayoshi. First, you follow the ‘Duel Notices’ mini-quest, which leads to a signpost north of Nobutsuna’s estate. Marume himself is located at the tip of the island in the northwestern corner ofAzuchi, past Saikoji Temple. Azuchi is in theOmiregion.
Asari Nobutane
Teppo
Asari Nobutaneis the most annoying of all Nobutsuna’s students. You must use the Teppo they choose for you. He is found in a bamboo grove south ofNegoroji,in northwesternKii. You can follow the mini-quest that leads to him, or simply head straight to his marker, both of which are shown on the map.
Hozoin In’ei
Kanabo
Yasuke must use theKanoboprovided for this fight. Hozoin is located in the southeastern corner of theAsuka Rocks Basin, just north of the massive river that runs through southernYamato. He is found inside a small temple-like building called theChoanji Yakushido.
Nagano Saemon
Bow
Once again, you must use a Bow provided to Yasuke in this fight. You findNaganoSaemoninSotomo Gate, Wakasa.This region is in the northwestern corner of the entire map. When you get the spot marked on the map, you’ll have to follow a long trail of dead bodies along the beach. This will lead directly to Saemon.
Yagyu Munatoshi
This duel is incredible. You’ll findYagyu Munatoshipraying atop a mountain in theNara HeartlandofYamato. If you scout the mountains directly north ofTakatori,you’ll find Munatoshi’s location.
Yuki no Kata
Naginata
You must use the providedNaginatafor this fight.Yuki no Katais located at the Ishinohoden Shrinein Harima. The shine is located in the Kakogawa Estuary province, which is right in the center of Harima’s southern shoreline. Make your way through the shrine, then up the hill directly behind it. You’ll find Yuki at the top of the hill, having just defeated another warrior.
Sanada Masatoyo
After completing all the students on the list, and returning to Nobutsuna’s estate for “A Cup of Tea,” you must head out to theSuzuka FoothillsinOmito faceSanada Masatoyo. This final fight is the culmination of the entire mission. The Suzuka Foothills are on the eastern side ofLake Biwa, and Masatoyo’s estate is found near the eastern shore in the Suzuka Foothills.

How to Start Nobutsuna’s Students in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To start “Nobutsuna’s Students,” you must first complete “An Education,” the mission where you learn the history of howYasuke became such a formidable warrior.You can find his quests once he is unlocked as a playable character. After “An Education,” you’ll be able to visit Nobutsuna at his estate. Going to speak with him will begin “Nobutsuna’s Students” in earnest, and provide access to the organization wheel in the Objectives menu.
