While the quarantine zone ofAtomfallisn’t the kind of place you’d expect to do some light reading, there are a bunch of comic books hidden all over that you can pick up. These are based on real classic comic books from the 1950s, and you can even read a few pages of each one you find in the menu.
Finding all 10 comics will earn you theAvid Collectorachievement/trophy, but it won’t be easy since some of them are stashed away in some very hard-to-reach places. Luckily, this guide will show you where you may find each of these comics.
All Comic Locations In The Quarantine Zone Of Atomfall
Comics will typically be sitting out in the open waiting for you to take them, although some can be looted off of corpses. When you find one, you’ll be given the option to eitherpick it up or read it if you want to see what’s inside. It’ll then be added to your menu in theCollectibles sectionof theInvestigation tab.
eight of these comics can be found out in the quarantine zone. Here’s where you can collect them:
Comic 1 Location (Jet Ace Logan: Evil In Orbit)
This is the first comic you might find. It’s in the bunker where your character wakes up. After you make your way through the bunker, you’ll enter a wide open area with an outlaw roaming around. There will be aroom on the right sideof this area. Head inside and look at the back to find this comicsitting on a rusty barrel.
Comic 2 Location (John Steel: Special Agent)
This comic is inside a building near theWaterwheellocation inSlatten Dale.Its coordinates are27.9 E, 74.9 N.Enter the building, head upstairs,and you’ll find the comicsitting on a canvas.
Comic 3 Location (Lion Annual 1962)
In the northwest part ofSlatten Daleare the remains of aruined convoy. Around here is awaterfallat coordinates22.9 E, 78.3 N. Go behind the waterfall, and you’ll find acorpsewith the third comic book on it.
Comic 4 Location (Jet-Ace Logan: 10 Days To Doom)
The next comic ison a benchoutside theWyndham Garage in Wyndham Village.Its coordinates are35.6 E, 79.3 N.
Comic 5 Location (Captain Condor: Mystery On The Moon - Lion Issue 248)
The fifth comic can be found at theGrendel’s Headale house located at the coordinates34.2 E, 79.3 N in Wyndham Village.Head inside, go upstairs, and you’ll find this booknext to a toilet in the ladies' bathroom.
Comic 6 Location (Captain Condor: Mystery On The Moon - Lion Issue 260)
Just outside of Wyndham Village is theVillage Outskirts in Casterfell Woods.At the coordinates27.6 E, 85.5 Nis a house. You’ll find this comic sitting in awooden box next to a bed.
Comic 7 Location (Rick Random In Sabotage From Space)
Datlow Hallis found at coordinates26.2 E, 85.4 N in Casterfell Woods.Enter the manor, and you’ll run into Prudence Rook. Ignore her, use theladderthat’s in the dining room, and you’ll find the comic on theright side of this upper level.
Comic 8 Location (John Steel: One False Step)
There is only one comic book inall ofSkethermoor.It’s found atNora’s Barnat the coordinates41.8 E, 77.5 N.However, Nora has boarded up the house to prevent anyone from getting inside. You’ll need to watch out for traps and look for adoor leading to the cellar.Enter that door, and on abench to the leftwill be this comic.
All Comics In The Interchange In Atomfall
There are two comics insideThe Interchange.They’re both in areas where getting hit with the infected status is fairly common. So before you go looking for these books, you may want tolearn theStrange Tonicrecipe to cure any infection you may pick up.
Here’s where to find the last two comics:
Comic 9 (Jet-Ace Logan: Planet Of Fear)
To find this book, you’ll need to have restored power toData Store Alpha.You can then head to the lower level of this data store and exit out a door into an area that leads to the Medical department. From the lower level of Data Store Alpha,go right to an entrancethat will have a sign next to it with directions pointing to Medical, Wyndham Village, and Casterfell Woods.Go through those doors and up the stairs.
You’ll want to go into the first room you encounter upstairs. Be cautious, as this area will be full ofFerals.If you have a bow, you can take them out with headshots. Otherwise, be ready to waste some ammo on them. Investigate this room while also watching your infection build-up. In a corner,this comic will be sitting on a chair.
Comic 10 (Rick Random And The Planet Of Terror)
This will likely be the last book you will find. It’ll be easy to miss as it’s the most hidden of all the comics. You’ll need to haveactivated all four Data Stores withAtomic Batteriesand opened up the way to Oberon.Travel through the area before the Oberon Dig Site.
Have plenty of Strange Tonics on hand since you’ll run into Ferals, Thralls, plant life, and blue mist that will inflict infection build-up.
Head through this zone past a misty area with Ferals.Go through a tunnel to find a grassy area.Run to the rightpast some Thralls,head upstairs, take out the Feral at the top, and then go right. Stick to the wall, and you’ll find agap you can squeeze through.On the other side will aB.A.R.D. Cratefor you to open along with the tenth and final comi
