One of the most difficult achievements to complete inMonster Hunter Wildsis the Explorer of the Eastlands, which tasks players with finding 10 Rarity 6 Special Items. Most players, however, are left wondering what exactly a Rarity 6 Special Item is, and how to go about finding it, let alone 10 of them.

In fact, there are exactly eleven Rarity 6 Special Items in the game, and they can only be obtained during very specific seasons and times of day, things that the in-game tutorials will not mention. Here’s the breakdown.

All Rarity 6 Special Items and Locations

There areeleven (11) Special Items of Rarity 6 inMonster Hunter Wilds. Of the eleven total, eight Rarity 6 items needed for the Explorer of the Eastlands achievement appear during a special environmental phenomenon called Emergences, whereas the remaining three need to be collected via other methods.

How to Get Emergence Rarity 6 Special Items

Emergences are essentially like Outbreaks and Upsurges but rarer and only for these Special Items. Here are the details:

Windward Plains

Fallow

Players can check when—and if—an Emergence is about to occur in their game by opening the World Map, selecting a location, and checking the third page of itsEnvironmental Overview. This page lists every current and upcoming event for that location, including Emergences.

Emergences only start occurring at HR 20+, afterTempered Monsters are unlocked.

Monster Hunter Wilds - Nightflower Pollen

If you don’t see an Emergence event on one map, select the others and check. Like this, you can basically check the entire World Map within seconds. If you do see an Emergence that is about to occur, you can gauge exactly how long you will have to wait for it to appear by using the timer scale at the top. This scale counts using real-life time, which means if an Emergence is set to occur in 60 minutes time, you will have to wait an hour.

Resting to pass the timeresets all Events in the World, meaning this will not reduce the time needed to trigger an upcoming event, but instead spawn a new set of events. However, itcanbe used to change to the exact Seasons when an Emergence is supposed to occur in hopes of triggering it. If it does trigger, it will not take more than 20 minutes because of how seasons work.

After roughly 5 minutes, the prompt to carve them will change from Carcass to Rotten Carcass. If a Wyvernsprout spawns, a mushroom-like growth will appear on top of the body and the interaction prompt will change to “Carrion Mushroom.” Interact with it to collect the Wyvernsprout.
