Sild Cotton is one of the specialty items produced by one of the settlements inMonster Hunter Wilds. Like others of its kind, it’s used to craft gear that players won’t be able to get any other way, giving hunters a reason to keep in contact with certain NPCs even after the main story.

How to Get Sild Cotton in Monster Hunter Wilds
As of writing, Sild Cotton canonly be obtained by trading with NPCs. Namely, players will need to visit eitherRen in Sild(Ruins of Wyveria) orGawdygog in the Wudwud Hideout(Scarlet Forest). Alternatively, if you’re done withChapter 3 of the main story,you can speak to Nata, who acts as a village intermediary, in front of your base camp tent.
Keep in mind that instead of Zenny, village traders will ask for Special Items instead. Gawdygog will always ask for Ancient Wyvern Coins, while Ren mayask for Genesis Opals, Mature Wyveria Lanterns, or Fossilized Fire Opals. As for getting these items:
