Cooking and eating a hearty meal is an important part of the pre-game ritual inMonster Hunter Wilds. Not only will food give players a boost to health, stamina, and their choice of stats, but when a meal is garnished with extra ingredients like Kunafa Cheese, players will geta stronger buff for when they set out.
Kunafa Cheese is one of the many cooking ingredients players can get inMH Wilds, and much like the others, getting cheese in bulk can be a little difficult. If you’re looking to stock up on this ingredient, here’s a guide showing where you can get some, and how you can farm for it with relative ease.
How to Get Kunafa Cheese in MH Wilds
There are a fewquests inMH Wildsthat reward players with Kunafa Cheese, but since they can’t be repeated, one of the best ways to get this ingredient is totrade with Kilama in Kunafa. She has her dedicated NPC marker on the map screen, but if you’d rather not visit her personally, you may always speak with Nata in front of your base camp tent instead.
Kilama’s trader inventory changes at regular intervals, so there will be times when she doesn’t have any Kunafa Cheese to offer. In cases like these, you can alwaysrest in your tent to force all trader inventories to refresh.
Kilama often asks for eitherWindward Aloe or Fine Windward Aloein exchange for Kunafa Cheese. You canfind these items in Windward Plains. Take note that you canget more Windward Aloe during Season of Plenty.
Occasionally, Kilama may also offerSharp Kunafa Cheese, which activates the strongerDefender Meal (Hi)skill. She’ll trade these for eitherThundering Fulguriteor Great WIndward Aloe.
The Defender Meal skill works like Divine Blessing — it gives players a chance to take reduced damage when hit.
Best Kunafa Cheese Farm
If trading isn’t your thing, you’re able to try farming Event Quests instead. This is a bit unreliable, however, as these quests are usually time-gated.
For example, theStalking Supperquest rewards players with both regular Kunafa Cheese and the Sharp Kunafa Cheese variant. Here, all you have to do is hunt a Quematrice in Windward Plains.
As of writing, Stalking Supper is no longer available in the Event Quests tab. However, as per Capcom duringthe Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 Showcase, most Events Quests will return when a big seasonal event is active.
