Summary
Rogues can open a secret lockbox inWorld of WarcraftPatch 11.1 that contains the Spare Uncrowned Vest transmog, as well as a journal belonging to Renzik “The Shiv” that ties into his recent short story. Fans must complete most of the Undermine(d) campaign in order to access thisWorld of Warcraftsecret, but they don’t need to do so on a Rogue in order to enjoy it.
The Undermine(d) content update forWorld of Warcrafthas been out for a month now, meaning players have discovered many of the secrets scattered about it. Some of these, such as the method for turning in completedC.H.E.T.T. Lists for Cartel reputation in theWorld of Warcraftupdate, can be used by any character.
However, there is a secret hidden near the end of the Undermine(d) campaign that can only be accessed by Rogues. During the Cut After Cut questline in Homecoming, the last chapter of the 11.1 campaign, fans visit the Westfall Lighthouse at the bottom left of the eponymous zone’s map alongside SI:7 leader Matthias Shaw. On the left side of the building, players can find Renzik’s Lockbox, though only Rogues can open it. This chest contains the Spare Uncrowned Vest Rogue chest transmog, as well as Renzik’s Journal, which ties into “The Tipping Point,” theshort story fromWorld of Warcraft: Crossroadsfeaturing Renzik “The Shiv.”
Rogue-Only Transmog and Lore in WoW Patch 11.1
Once fans reach this point in the Undermine(d) story, Renzik’s Lockbox appears to other characters, meaning they don’t need to do the campaign again in order to get it. Rogues can fly out to the Westfall Lighthouse as early as level 10 to open the chest, but the transmog can’t be used until one reaches at least level 70.
The Spare Uncrowned Vest is a sleeveless version of the Eternal Bloodfang Chestpiece, part of the Rogue’s uprezzedTier 2 set that was available duringWorld of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary event. It is also a high-definition version of the Vest of Artful Dodging, which was itself a sleeveless version of the original Bloodfang Chestpiece, purchased at the Rogue Class Order Hall inLegion.
This isn’t the only special surprise for Rogues in Patch 11.1. Renzik “The Shiv," the owner of the aforementioned lockbox whoplays a major role in theWorld of WarcraftPatch 11.1 story, appears in the Rogue Class Order Hall campaign, while with Steamwheedle Cartel Trade-Prince Marin Noggenfogger and Matthias Shaw were both recruitable Champions. Noggenfogger and Shaw even have special dialogue with Rogues where they acknowledge them as one of the leaders of the Uncrowned – though a hilarious bug sometimes caused the former to say this to characters of any class, revealing his association with the secret organization in a rather un-Rogue-like manner.
