The match that is frustrating fans is the five-womanMoney in the Bank ladder matchthat was held in 2017. In this match, players take control of Tamina, nine-time 24/7 champion and real-life daughter of “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, and attempt to change history by beating actual winner Carmella as well as Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Natalya to be the first to climb the ladder and grab the briefcase suspended above the ring. In order to earn all six of the rewards associated with this match, players need to attack each of the other four wrestlers in specific ways, which proves chaotic due to the AI-controlled wrestlers attacking each other and the player in and outside the ring. Additionally, failing to win the chaotic match blocks out progress in the game mode with eight matches left to play.
WWE 2K25 Players Hate Tamina’s Bloodline Showcase Match
There are a lot of factors leading to this match being such a frustration for fans. Getting all theShowcase unlockables inWWE 2K25is tied to completing objectives during matches. That’s nothing new for the series, but this year, some of those objectives are on a timer. In this case, after completing several other objectives, players exit a mid-match cutscene and have to get up and quickly deal a large amount of damage to Natalya within 30 seconds. But Tamina always exits the cutscene lying flat on her back outside the ring, costing precious time, and failing the objective means either trying to win the match without receiving any rewards or hitting the restart button.
Adding to the chaos, the wayladder matches worked inWWE 2K24and before has been changed. Instead of trying to line up a spinning circle and hit the button at the right time,WWE 2K25makes players pass a series of quick time events to grab the briefcase or title above the ring. This seems to take significantly longer, giving opponents more chances to attack the wrestler at the top or knock the ladder down altogether, and some players who dove into the Showcase before hitting the tutorial or any other game modes were blindsided by the change.
