WWE 2K25’s development team has released a new patch for the game less than a full day after early access players have had a chance to dive in. Patch 1.03 forWWE 2K25doesn’t offer anything in terms of additional content for the wrestling game, but it provides a lot of stability and performance upgrades and addresses player-driven concerns about multiple game modes.
Therelease date forWWE 2K25Standard Edition players isn’t set to arrive until March 14, but those who paid extra for the Deadman or Bloodline editions of the game have had access since midnight local time on March 7. Although it’s been out for less than two days at the time of this article’s publishing, the wrestling game is already getting big reactions from players in online forums, both positive and negative. Many have been excited by new features like high-flying moves off the barricade and visual body damage accumulating on wrestlers' torsos and faces, but there are also plenty of 2K fans complaining about bugs and crashes that have been popping up during matches in different game modes or in Create-a-Superstar.
The patch notes don’t get into a lot of specific details about the fixes that the development team have applied to player-reported problems thus far, but from the sounds of it, they cover a lot of different game modes. These includeWWE 2K25’s MyRise mode, in which developers have reported looking into reports of wrestler overall ratings going above the cap of 100 and AI-controlled wrestlers not responding during live events. Additionally, in MyFaction mode, there have been reported problems of incorrect match duration records and players' pin or submission mini-game preferences from other modes erroneously overriding MyFaction’s default settings, which the new patch also addresses.
The reported problems being looked into by the team prior to this patch’s release also extend to Universe Mode. According to the notes, players have reported the game failing to save progress when exiting Universe Mode. Along with this problem, specialWWE 2K25weaponshave been absent from ringside and some players have also run into a bug showing duplicated wrestler portraits when the game is paused.
The stability and support upgrades have been reported forWWE 2K25’s The Islandand MyFaction gameplay modes as well as for online matches and the game’s Creation Suite. Also covered under Community Creations are notes addressing concerns of facial recognition with Create-a-Superstar tools and custom matches overwriting players' selected match rules.
