One of the marketing points forMythwrecked: Ambrosia Islandis that it doesn’t use generative AI, a badge that the developer wears proudly. In February, Polygon Treehouse Creative Director Alex Kanaris-Sotiriou introduced the seal, which allows indie devs to easily assure players that no generative AI was used in a project’s development. While there is no practice in place to ensure that those who display the badge are being honest, the concept depends on an honor system and is nevertheless a step in the right direction when it comes to AI use.
