Gamers onXboxcan enjoy a new Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale, this time focusing on DLCs and season passes for games likeMortal Kombat 1,Dead Island 2, severalAssassin’s Creedtitles, and more.Xboxgamers are no strangers to sales and deals on the platform, as Microsoft always seems to have some sort of offering or discount going on. Each Xbox gamer even has their own curated “Just For You” special offers page in the Xbox store based on their own personal tastes.

It was only last month that Xbox held a Buy 1 Get 2 free sale that primarily seemed to be focused on bigUbisoft games likeStar Wars Outlaws,Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, severalFar Cryand Tom Clancy titles, and a whole lot more. It was an opportunity for gamers to build their own deal bundle, choosing three games but only paying for the most expensive of the bunch. The catch was that for most of the newer games, likeMortal Kombat 1,Avatar,orStar Wars Outlaws, only the gold or ultimate editions were available as part of the sale, which made it tougher for gamers who wanted to grab the latest titles.

Now, Xbox has launched a new sale just like last month’s, this time a Buy 1 Get 1 free deal that focuses solely on DLCs and season passes. Ubisoft has another big presence in this month’s sale following therecent release ofAssassin’s Creed Shadows, as other big titles in the storiedAssassin’s Creedfranchise, likeBlack Flag,Valhalla,Origins, andOdyssey, have their season passes available to choose from. A number ofMortal Kombat 1DLC fighters populate the list as well, including Omni-Man, Homelander, and Peacemaker.Dead Island 2is another big game that has both its SoLA and Haus DLCs available. Xbox gamers have until April 1 to take advantage of the offer.

Xbox March 2025 Buy 1 Get 1 DLC Sale

Prior to last month, these sorts of Buy 1 Get 1 or 2 deals only popped up on Xbox a few times a year. Now that Xbox has held two of them in back-to-back months, it wouldn’t be unusual to wonder whether Xbox is planning on making these sales a permanent monthly fixture in its deals cycle. If they were to become permanent, Xbox would need to get other big publishers on board aside from just Ubisoft. It’s strange that, aside fromPsychonauts 2last month, none of Xbox’s own first-party titles have appeared in these Buy 1 Get 1 sales. This might have to do with these games' permanent availability on Xbox Game Pass, but it would be nice to seebigger Xbox games likeForza Horizon 5or theGears of Wargames show up in these Buy 1 Get 1 sales from time to time.

This new Buy 1 Get 1 sale isn’t the only deal Xbox currently has running, as aCall of Dutyfranchisesale and a massive Square Enix publisher offering are both live until March 31. The day after that is when the Buy 1 Get 1 deal expires, so gamers should jump into the Xbox store and claim their two discounted DLCs.
