On the r/gaming subreddit, a Redditor named SculptedNostalgia crafted the Moon fromMajora’s Maskout of clay. SculptedNostalgia stated that a Styrofoam ball was the base of the Moon’s body, with gray-colored clay layered for most of the process. The Moon was attached to a pole for a picture taken on a black background.
Majora’s Mask Fan Artist Crafts Eerie Replica of Termina’s Moon
White and pink clay were used to sculpt the Moon’s ghastly teeth and gums. The Moon’s nose and eyes were prominently featured in a screenshot taken by SculptedNostalgia, who also added LED lights to the Moon’s yellow eyes. SculptedNostalgia used some circuitry to power the LED eyes, which were out of view of the picture they took of their Moon sculpture.
Though otherLegend of Zeldafan artists have crafted various masks that Link woreduring his adventures inMajora’s Mask, the Moon remains a rare subject for fan artists to replicate. In response,Zeldafans said the clay-sculpted Moon by SculptedNostalgia was accurate and nightmarish, with some claiming it looked similar to a computer-generated render used in the games.
Between fan art projects and accomplishing in-game feats thought impossible,Majora’s Maskis still a prominentZeldaentry 25 years after its launch. With theNintendo Switch 2 launching later in 2025, only time will tell what adventures awaitZeldafans.
